The Special Programs Security Support II (SPSS II) acquisition seeks proposals for contractor support services that provide skilled, non-personal security and systems acquisition assistance to the ESC Special Access Program Center. The Government has engaged industry through a pre-solicitation process, including a Sources Sought Synopsis released in April 2011 to identify potential vendors with relevant technical expertise and capabilities. Respondents were invited to submit statements of interest detailing their qualifications, business size, and socio-economic status to enhance competition and ensure the solicitation reflects industry input. This engagement process facilitated refinement of the final Request for Proposal (RFP), issued in December 2011, which supersedes all prior communications and clarifies that all proposal-related communications are to be directed exclusively to the designated Contracting Officer and Contract Specialist. The solicitation emphasizes the Government’s commitment to competitive fairness and invites all qualified offerors to submit timely proposals by January 5, 2012. The SPSS II contract aims to establish an effective and efficient partnership to support sensitive security programs within the Air Force Electronic Systems Center. Key contacts for contractual and technical inquiries are Carol Pogue and Gary Perkins, respectively, and all proposals must comply with specified submission requirements such as format, size, and deadline. This acquisition does not currently indicate any set-aside designation, and interested parties are encouraged to carefully review the final RFP to ensure compliance with the latest terms and conditions.
