R -- Sports Day Sponsorship Opportunity at Robins, AFB

On Saturday, August 7, 2004 the 78th Services Division is hosting our 13th Annual Summer Bash event at Robins Park from 4 to 9 p.m. Summer Bash is a day of family fun with carnival games and rides, live musical entertainment, great food, clowns, prizes, a firework show and more. It's our way of thanking the base populace for their patronage throughout the year. Anyone with a base ID may join in on the fun. Average attendance is 6,000 people. This year our theme for the day is sports. We will be having a homerun derby, a dodge ball competition, and a tennis tournament during the Summer Bash event. In order to make it more interesting for our competitors we would like to team up with companies who are interested in donating cash and/or in-kind for Baseball/Softball bats, Baseball/Softball gloves, Tennis Racquets, Tennis clothing, etc. to give away as prizes for our first, second and third place winners. Our homerun derby will be every man or woman for themselves, the dodge ball competition will be made up with teams of four and the tennis tournament will have teams of two competing for first place. These friendly competitions are being added into our Summer Bash event in order to enhance the morale of our military and their families.
