The Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE), on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Cost & Economics (ODASA-CE) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Science Applications International Corp (SAIC), 10260 Campus Point Drive, San Diego CA 92121 for support of Wheeled and Tracked Vehicle Systems providing non-personal, technical support services in the concentrated areas of cost and economic analysis of major weapon and information management systems programs, associated acquisition, and financial management policies and procedures of the Department of Defense (DoD). Task requirements includes: providing data collection, mapping, analysis, normalization, and database implementation, developing and updating cost estimating relationships (CERs); performing special cost analysis research; and providing needed instruction in classrooms, small groups, and/or one-on-one settings in core areas of research (CER development, Cost Performance Estimating Relationships (CPER), and cost modeling support). This action will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of 4.5 months commencing on 16 September 2009 and ending 31 January 2010. The NAICS code is 541611 and size standard is $7.0 million. This announcement is in accordance with FAR 6.302.
