NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego (FLCSD) intents to negotiate and award on a sole source basis to Wilcox Industries Corp. The Government maintenance for its Wilcox brand SCOUT/Patriot Life Support equipment and accessories. This requirement is for commercial items prepared using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the FAR 13.302-1, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. Wilcox Industries Corp is the sole proprietor for the SCOUT/Patriot Life Support Equipment and does not authorized third party maintenance repairs. Wilcox Industries Corp. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The Small Business Office concurs with the set-aside decision. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. FOB Destination applies. Delivery is 7 days ARO. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a) (6), the required justification and approval documentation is attached (See Note 22). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 09:00 AM PST, 23 August 2017 via email to contact@example.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
