Range Operations Support Services (ROSS)

The Range Operations Support Services contract tasks the contractor with the operation, maintenance, and sustainment of mission systems for the Dryden Aeronautical Test Range at NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center. This critical support encompasses both fixed range assets and mobile operations facilities to ensure the success of flight research and human spaceflight mission operations. Key responsibilities include managing real-time and post-flight operations, data acquisition, range communications, flight termination systems, and video and tracking systems. To maintain operational readiness, the contractor is responsible for configuration management, detailed documentation, and both preventive and corrective maintenance. All activities must be performed in strict compliance with NASA standards and AFRC directives, with the capacity to provide surge support as needed. The performance of these services is centered in Edwards, focusing on the high-reliability requirements of aerospace testing and mission-critical infrastructure.
