The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Portland has awarded Task Order Modification 2 under contract W9127N-09-D-0004 for a Value Engineering Study. This project focuses on the Bonneville Lock and Dam Sandblast/Paint Facility, Wooden Ice Sluiceway Bulkheads, and the Bradford Island Visitor Center Alternative Energy Study. The primary objective is to support the future award of a construction contract utilizing a Design-Build delivery method, which includes establishing the metrics and factors necessary for evaluating future proposals. The scope of work involves the siting and construction of a new storage facility, the demolition of the existing storage facility, and the siting and construction of a new sandblast and paint facility. The contractor is responsible for providing all required Value Engineering Study documentation to guide the development of the construction contract design. This opportunity was restricted to contractors already operating under the existing primary contract.
