The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a task order to Systems Research and Applications under GSA Schedule 70 for the enhancement of the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System. This project, funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, focuses on assessing the systematic electronic reporting of vaccine adverse events and developing a rational questionnaire and software structure to improve electronic reporting capabilities. This effort is an enhancement of the existing system rather than a replacement and requires specific interface, access, and testing on the current network. Due to the specialized nature of the requirements and the need for existing knowledge of the system, this opportunity is limited to the specific GSA Schedule contractor. The scope of work involves evaluating the reasons for paper reporting to transition more effectively toward electronic methods. All administrative inquiries regarding this notice are directed to the designated contract specialists at the CDC.
