This cost-reimbursement task order modification was awarded to Weston Solutions, Inc. under contract W912WJ-05-D-0009 for remediation activities at the Elizabeth Mine Superfund Site. The action was processed using non-competitive procedures as a follow-on to a competitive initial order for the remediation of hazardous waste sites. A cost-reimbursement structure was utilized rather than a fixed price due to performance uncertainties that prevented accurate cost estimation. The primary purpose of this modification is to expand the existing scope of work to include the excavation, removal, and relocation of waste rock at TP-3. Managed by the Department of Defense through the W2SD Endist New England office in Concord, Massachusetts, the project falls under NAICS code 562910.
