The 88th Contracting Squadron at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base intends to award a sole source contract to Custom Mechanical Services Corp, an 8(a) program contractor based in Bargersville, Indiana, for the replacement of failed steam lines. The contract includes two key projects: replacing temporary above-ground steam and condensate lines from S-68 to S-9 to Building 18E, and from S-7 to S-90 to Building 29. Additionally, the scope involves structurally rebuilding the steam pit at S-90 and installing new pipes and valves within that steam pit. These repairs are critical to restoring reliable steam service at the base and are focused on replacing temporary infrastructure with permanent solutions. The combined estimated value of these projects ranges between $250,000 and $500,000. This opportunity is specifically set aside for 8(a) program contractors and will follow a sole source award process, emphasizing the specialized capabilities of the selected firm. The work will be performed at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, and the primary point of contact for this contract is Patricia A Long, who can be reached via email or phone for additional information. This announcement serves for subcontracting purposes and information only, reflecting the base’s intention to proceed under the 8(a) authority.
