Full Description

RECOVERY - THIS ACTION IS FUNDED BY THE RECOVERY ACT. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This opportunity is available only to SSA's existing contract with PC Mall Gov, Inc., of Manassas, Virginia, under the NASA SEWP IV Government Wide Acquisition Contract Number NNG07DA08B. SSA competitively awarded Delivery Order SS00-07-31209 to PC Mall Inc. against the SEWP contract for Sun Microsystems StorageTek (STK) tape equipment in accordance with the fair opportunity procedures of FAR Section 16.505. SSA intends to issue a firm fixed-price modification to its existing Delivery Order to exercise the option for increased quantities. SSA will acquire tape storage equipment, consisting of Sun STK T10000 tape drives, encryption keys, installation, and tape cartridges. As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, SSA will provide one-time payments of $250 to adult Social Security beneficiaries, SSI recipients, and other targeted beneficiaries, except those receiving Medicaid in care facilities. To support this initiative, SSA will rely on this new STK tape equipment to provide a redundant backup for database expansion and software testing. SSA requires this new equipment at its National Computer Center located at 6201 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland, 21235-2000.
