Description of work - Job consist of de-tensioning existing anchors and drilling holes in the floor and thru the rock foundation of the lower cross-over sills in the main and auxiliary lock and installing new anchors to stablize the cross-over sills. The drilling and installation is done in the cross-over while the locks are in operation. The installation consists of placing the anchors in the holes, water testing the holes, grouting the holes, prestressing the anchors to a prescribed load and preforming proof and performance tests on the anchors for acceptance. Access for delivering materials to the cross-over for installation of the anchors will be limited as the only means of access is thru the top of the load into the miter gate machinery room thru the galleries.
