The contract work consists of, but is not limited to, the following items of work: (a) Installation of vinyl sheet piles as leave-in-place formwork along the outside of the existing steel sheet pile bulkhead and fill the gap with concrete. (b) The length of the repair will be approximately 172 feet with a minimum separation between the existing sheet pile and the new sheet pile of 2 feet. (c) The vinyl sheet pile will be approximately 21 feet long and will be driven approximately 14 feet. (d) Existing riprap shall be removed to install the sheet piles and reset after installation of the piles. (e) Clearing and grubbing including the removal of one tree. Solicitation Number W912BU-09-B-0025 will be issued on or about 12 June 2009 with a bid opening date of 14 July 2009. Estimated cost range of the project is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 (SIC 1629) with a size standard of $33.5 million. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/.
