Refrigerated Trailers

The California Department of Education, through the Department of General Services Procurement Division, is soliciting bids for the procurement of 28-foot, 32-foot, and 46-foot refrigerated semi-trailer vans to transport perishable foods across the state. The solicitation, numbered 0000038951 and posted on May 22, 2026, with a submission deadline of June 4, 2026, requires all bids to be submitted electronically to OTA@dgs.ca.gov by 2:00 p.m. PT, with no hard copies or faxes accepted. All units must comply with CARB, FMVSS, and CA DMV regulations, painted in the manufacturer’s standard white finish. Delivery is to be made to the Sacramento and Pomona distribution centers, and each unit must pass inspection by a state inspector at the manufacturer’s facility prior to delivery. Contractors bear all costs for repair of defects under warranty and must submit invoices within seven calendar days of delivery to the specified CDE fiscal address, including detailed line-item information. Payment is contingent upon availability of appropriated funds and may occur through the State Financial Marketplace. Bidders must be certified to claim Small Business or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise preferences and must perform a commercially useful function, not merely subcontract work. Mandatory certifications include Federal Debarment, Darfur Contracting Act, Iran Contracting Act, California Civil Rights Laws, and a GenAI disclosure statement if such technology is used in deliverables.
