Full Description

Special Notice -This is a notice of intent to issue a contract for the Design Build Construction of the Remote Surveillance Monitoring System (RVSS)at Eagle Pass, Texas on a sole source basis to L3 Services, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for designing, building, redirecting, relocating and upgrading of the Remote Video Surveillance System (RVSS) currently operational at the current Eagle Pass Border Patrol Station in Eagle Pass, Texas to the new station site located on El Indio Highway, and building a 165-foot tower for the new station. The work may include but is not limited to 1) design 2) inventory and testing of existing equipment 3) site planning and site verification 4) site engineering to include subsurface investigations, laboratory analysis, and final geotechnical report 5) lighting protection design and installation 6) electrical system design and installation 7) align, integrate and optimize microwave systems located at 23 RVS towers 8) install turnkey 165 foot tower for the new station, including tower steel, foundation, and antenna mounts, grounding system, waveguideladders, waveguide bridge wall feed thru, 9) design and construct RVSS Equipment Room 10) preparation of design drawings on AutoCadd and Microstation 11) and development of as-built drawings. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, including commercial product information and past performance information on similar projects performed in the past five years.
