Renovation of the WAFB Challenger Dorms

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District is preparing to issue a full and open unrestricted Design-Bid-Build solicitation for the renovation of the Challenger Dorms at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, with an estimated project value between $20 million and $40 million. The scope encompasses comprehensive upgrades including site grading and stormwater drainage, structural repairs to brick and lintels, installation of new metal gutters and downspouts, replacement of all interior and exterior doors and windows, full interior finishes for floors, ceilings, and walls, and complete overhaul of plumbing systems including cast iron wet drains.
