Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, to Repair/Replace Cooling Towers, Building 40. Work includes removal and replacement of three cooling towers, removal and replacement of Condenser water pumps, pipes and valves, and the removal and replacement of building lighting. The work shall be performed by a general contractor who has demonstrated experience in commercial/office building HVAC systems. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NGA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 230 calendar days. The facilities served by these systems will remain in operation for the duration of the contract. The contractor shall be required to maintain HVAC service throughout the contract. At least one tower shall remain operational at all times, with two towers operational during the peak cooling months May through September. The approximate cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project is 100 percent set-aside for small business. The NAICS code for this project is 236220, size standard $33.5M.
