Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof for the Repair/Replacement of the Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, Building 36, Section 1A. Work includes the removal of an existing HVAC unit including all appurtenances and converting the mechanical room to a storage room. New ductwork, Terminal units and sensors shall be installed in the office areas. The ductwork shall be extended to connect to another HVAC unit. Some minor electrical, carpentry, ceiling tile, painting, and fire sprinkler work is required. Abatement of asbestos containing floor tile and mastic is required. The work shall be performed by a general contractor which has demonstrated experience in installation of ductwork, terminal units and temperature sensors. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NGA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 110 calendar days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Government services. The estimated price range of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This project is 100 percent set-aside for small business. The NAICS code for this project is 236220, size standard $33.5M.
