The 27 Special Operations Contracting Squadron is conducting market research to identify qualified contractors capable of providing non-personal design/build services to replace the primary and secondary electrical distribution Phase 3 at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico. This effort involves replacing 900 feet of deteriorated overhead wiring with an underground service extending from a pole near the golf course clubhouse, crossing both a railroad and highway 60/84, to connect with existing underground infrastructure at Chavez Manor. This Request for Information (RFI) is strictly for informational and planning purposes, with no obligation on the government’s part to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Contractors are asked to submit Capability Statements detailing their experience, bonding capacity, business size and type, and their intended role as prime or subcontractor. Interested firms must provide specific company details, including Cage Code, DUNS, contact information, and NAICS code compliance under 237130, related to power and communication line construction. The RFI emphasizes that submissions will not be considered proposals, and costs related to responding will not be reimbursed. Interested parties must submit their Capability Statements to the contracting officer by February 27, 2015, to be considered for future opportunities, including potential small business considerations.
