Z--Replacement of Security Fence and Gates at Mainten

The contract amends the solicitation for the replacement of a dilapidated security fence and gates at the Maintenance/Law Enforcement Compound within the Chickamauga Battlefield portion of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. The scope includes the removal of approximately 280 linear feet of existing fencing and barbed wire, followed by the installation of a commercially rated steel fence system with a single 6-foot personnel gate featuring a high-security locking mechanism. All work must comply with OSHA safety standards, historical preservation guidelines, and federal environmental regulations including CERCLA, EPCRA, OSHA, and RCRA. The fence must meet specific material requirements, including an ALEKO Commercial 8 Panel Steel Fence or pre-approved equivalent with a powder-coated finish in an NPS-approved color and commercial-grade, corrosion-resistant hardware. Site preparation requires utility clearances through DigAlert/811, and final restoration includes grading, backfilling, and debris removal, with proof of proper disposal of removed materials required.
