AI Contract Overview
This contract amends the original solicitation to transition from a Brand Name Only to a Brand Name or Equal requirement for the replacement of an endoscopy reprocessing sink at the Wyoming Clinic, a Community Based Outpatient Clinic under the Battle Creek VAMC. The existing equipment is noncompliant with VHA Directive 1116(2) and AAMI ST91 standards, prompting a Priority 1 mission-critical replacement as confirmed by a recent audit from the VISN 10 Chief Sterile Processing Officer. CLIN 23 has been removed and salient characteristics have been added to ensure equitable competition while preserving technical intent. The required equipment is a PureSteel Healthcare Reprocessing Sink, part number PS-97530-HA-03-301810B, featuring a 97.5-inch length by 30-inch width design with three adjustable-height basins, ergonomic wrist rests, a 10-inch gooseneck sprayer, sink light hoods, a programmable water-resistant timer, a task halogen light with 2X magnification, and a height-adjustable pegboard wall. The sink must include a flat-bottom support shelf, LED basin lighting, a gallon bottle holder, a Scope Buddy Shelf mount, stainless steel wire baskets, workflow plates for leak testing, wash, and rinse cycles, and a three-bay drain kit assembly. All components must meet the specified dimensions and functional requirements to ensure compliance with sterile processing protocols. The solicitation is open under number 36C25026Q0725 with a response deadline of July 20, 2026, and is posted on July 14, 2026. The acquisition falls under NAICS code 339113 and is set aside as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Sole Source. The contract office is located in Dayton, Ohio, with performance required at the Battle Creek, Michigan facility. The primary point of contact is Percy Johnson, reachable via email. This procurement does not require Contracting and Auditing (C&A) requirements or a Security Accreditation Package, streamlining the process while maintaining strict standards for functionality, safety, and clinical compliance in the sterile processing environment.
