Request for Information: Heated Storage / Warehouse Space

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police is seeking information on the availability of existing stand-alone heated warehouse space in Grand Bank, Newfoundland and Labrador, for potential leasing purposes. The facility must be a minimum of 115 square meters with an interior ceiling height of 4.5 metres and include an unobstructed 10 x 10 metre area, along with at least one exterior parking space and controlled 24/7 direct access. The building must be in compliance with all national, provincial, and municipal building, fire prevention, and environmental codes, with no presence of asbestos and no history of contamination. A pre-installed fire alarm system meeting RCMP standards or applicable codes is required, as are functioning lighting and electrical systems. The space must be available at least one month prior to the anticipated start date of September 1, 2026, with the potential lease term being one year, renewable for two additional one-year periods. Respondents must demonstrate the capability to provide turn-key fit-up services, which may include design, installation of demising walls, secure fencing, washrooms, and floor drains, tailored to meet RCMP operational and security requirements. All property owners and personnel involved must be prepared to undergo security screening, including providing valid security clearances or criminal record checks upon request by the RCMP, and must fully cooperate with the Departmental Security Section to facilitate clearance procurement. Failure to obtain or maintain security clearance or to comply with these requirements will render the response non-compliant and any resulting lease null and void. This is not a tender or request for proposals but a market research inquiry to determine the availability of suitable existing facilities; no payment will be made for response preparation costs.
