Request for Information (RFI) For theReconfigurable Virtual Collective Trainer

Purpose: The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain information for the purposes of market research which may inform future requirement and contract efforts for a Virtual Maneuver Gunnery Trainer. Summary: The Government is seeking to identify if the technology exists to mature the Reconfigurable Virtual Collective Trainer (RVCT) into a Reconfigurable Virtual Trainer (RVT) with the fidelity and form, fit, function to replicate a gunnery trainer that can also train collective tasks at echelon from the crew, platoon through Brigade. This capability will be part of the Synthetic Training Environment (STE). In the past, the Army deliberately decided to keep the system trainers (e.g., crew gunnery) and non-system trainers (e.g., collective trainers) as separate enablers. As the STE RVCT reaches initial operating capability, and with the continued pace of advances in technology, the government believes there may be potential to combine the collective maneuver trainer and crew gunnery trainer into one reconfigurable virtual trainer.
