This request for information (RFI) issued by SPAWAR Atlantic seeks input from contractors regarding advanced UHF and VHF amplifier technology. Specifically, the Navy is interested in architectural designs and potential prototypes for a single wideband multi-carrier amplifier capable of combining at least 36 carriers with high carrier power variability and effective intermodulation interference mitigation. The technology should support multiple carriers, including frequency hopping, and produce a power output of at least 30 dBW without significant interference, aimed at enhancing advanced communication systems. Responses are limited to technologies at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 5 or higher and must be submitted unclassified in the form of white papers by March 8, 2017. Respondents are instructed to provide detailed technical descriptions, research findings, and prototyping approaches within a five-page limit for the technical section, separate from administrative details. The government emphasizes that this RFI is for informational and planning purposes only, does not represent a solicitation for proposals, and will not lead to contractual commitments. Proprietary information must be clearly marked, and no cost or pricing data should be included in submissions. Communications regarding technical questions are directed to a specified SPAWAR representative. Potential industry discussions may be held to clarify capabilities but do not guarantee procurement or contract award. All submissions become government property and responders bear all associated costs independently.
