Contract Overview
Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, on behalf of the Nulka Joint Program Office, is conducting a Request for Information/Sources Sought to assess industry interest and capabilities for the production and sustainment of key components of the Nulka MK 234 Electronic Decoy Cartridge. These components include the Thrust Control Unit (TCU), Spin Control Unit (SCU), SCU Acceptance Test Equipment (ATE), and the Canister. The Nulka system was jointly developed by the US and Australian governments to provide naval ships with a self-defense capability against radar-guided anti-ship missiles. The effort involves redesigning certain elements of the TCU and SCU to address obsolescence, manufacturing redesigned units, sustaining existing and updated components, and manufacturing test equipment with enhanced automation and data capture capabilities. The Canister requires build-to-print production along with sustainment tasks like corrosion repair and seal integrity maintenance. Respondents are invited to submit capability statements addressing detailed requirements across project management, engineering, design, quality, and integrated logistics support, tailored to the components they intend to support. Companies can respond to one or multiple component needs, but submissions must not exceed three pages per component. Firms must be registered in SAM and JCP to receive controlled data and respond accordingly. The response deadline is July 10, 2026, and submissions must be unclassified; classified information is prohibited. This is a market research exercise only and not a solicitation for proposals or contract award. No costs related to responding will be reimbursed, and responses do not create any contractual obligation or commitment by the government. Questions must be submitted in writing by June 26, 2026.
