Enabling Technology for Future Missions
Solicitation # 9F063-20260085
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is soliciting proposals under the Space Technology Development Program (STDP) to develop and advance one to three priority technologies intended to reduce technical uncertainties for future Canadian space missions. This fixed-price procurement focuses on increasing Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) in accordance with CSA-ST-GDL-0001 Revision A guidelines. The identified priority technologies include a lightweight athermal reflecting telescope for CubeSats, readout electronics for large mosaic focal plane arrays, and technologies for the Ground Snow Mass Mission, with maximum funding per contract ranging from 1 million to 2 million Canadian dollars. The project is expected to span 16 months, structured around five key milestones: a kick-off meeting, preliminary design review, detailed design review and work authorization meeting, test readiness review, and a final review meeting. Selection is based on the highest combined rating of technical merit (60%) and price (40%), with additional points available for Indigenous considerations. The contract requires strict adherence to security protocols, including Protected B and Reliability Status, and mandates the use of the Information Sharing with External Partners portal for sensitive data transfers. Performance is subject to rigorous inspection and acceptance processes for both hardware and software, including a 90-day warranty period for custom software.

Systèmes De Microréacteur Lunaire Canadien
Solicitation # 9F055- 20260146
The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) under solicitation number 9F055-20260146 to identify Canadian technologies and capabilities relevant to lunar microreactors and enabling technologies. This initiative seeks to gather evidence-based data on Canada's existing strengths, technology maturity, supply chains, and development pathways to inform future space exploration programs and procurement strategies. The CSA is interested in a wide range of contributions, from complete systems and subsystems to specialized research and consortium roles, and is not requiring a single entity to deliver an end-to-end system. Notional performance parameters of interest include a net continuous electric power of approximately 20-80 kWe and an operational life of 10 years or more. This RFI is not a bid solicitation and will not result in the award of a contract, grant, or funding agreement. Responses are not scored for supplier selection but are used to map the domestic landscape. Interested parties from industry, academia, and research institutions must submit their responses by November 23, 2026. Submissions should follow the recommended format in Annex A and utilize the Capability Matrix and Technology Readiness Level references provided in the attachments. All responses must be unclassified, and any proprietary information must be clearly marked. The CSA emphasizes that future activities must prioritize safety, security, environmental protection, and non-proliferation in accordance with the Nuclear Safety and Control Act and other applicable laws.

Grant
Expression of interest: Small-satellite missions sandpit
Solicitation # 206083
UK Research and Innovation is seeking expressions of interest for a small-satellite missions sandpit designed to bring together approximately 30 researchers and innovators from diverse disciplines. The goal is to co-develop ambitious, challenge-led small-satellite mission concepts focusing on innovative sensors, data streams, and cross-sector enabling technologies to enhance sovereign capability, address national security and societal challenges, and support economic growth. The activity consists of six sessions held between January 26 and February 11, 2027, utilizing a combination of online sessions and a two-day residential event. Total program funding is listed at 1,870,000, with the objective of developing concepts for pump-priming research grants in 2027/2028. Selection of participants is based on core assessment questions focusing on skills and potential contributions rather than track record, with additional consideration given to geographic diversity across all UK regions. Applicants must apply through an Expression of Interest stage, and invited applicants will use the Resume for Research and Innovation format. Mandatory attendance at all sessions is required, with travel and subsistence costs reimbursed and accommodation provided for overnight stays. The program is managed by the UKRI Space Programme team, with the response deadline for the solicitation set for November 25, 2026.

Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library
Solicitation # 80JSC025_CLDC_TECH_LIBRARY
The Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Technical Library, managed by the NASA Johnson Space Center, serves as a centralized repository of technical standards, plans, and guidelines for potential offerors. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to support the development of private LEO space destinations and supporting systems as NASA prepares for the retirement of the International Space Station. The library provides a series of data drops containing both controlled and uncontrolled technical data, including standards for docking systems, payload interfaces, and crew health operations. It also outlines specific NASA center capabilities and high-value engineering products available to industry partners to reduce technical and schedule risks. It is important to note that this activity is a special notice and does not constitute a Request for Proposals, Invitation for Bid, or Request for Quotation. No proposals are to be submitted in response to this notice, and it does not represent a commitment by the government to enter into a contract. Access to export-controlled content requires the submission of a specific request form and compliance with U.S. export regulations, including the implementation of Technology Transfer Control Plans and Non-Disclosure Agreements for foreign nationals. The library is intended to keep industry updated on current NASA technical standards in anticipation of future FAR-based acquisitions.

1. Summary The National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Science Mission Directorate (SMD) is soliciting inputs from the broad space science community including NASA Centers, industry, academia, and international partners in response to this Request for Information (RFI). The responses will assist NASA in planning for potential payloads on the NASA Science/Technology Platform Satellite (NSTP-Sat) with a possible launch to low earth orbit, geostationary equatorial orbit, medium Earth orbit , Earth–Moon L1, or lunar orbit in the 2021 timeframe.
2. Background The NSTP-Sat is a spacecraft platform that has become available to NASA as excess Government property through an interagency agreement. It is based on a Boeing GEO spinner bus as shown in Figure 1. NASA is considering launching the NSTP-Sat launch in the 2021 timeframe on a NASA-procured launch service or on the Space Launch System Exploration Mission-2 launch vehicle as a co-manifested payload (CPL). This RFI is intended to collect information for use by NASA to determine the feasibility of, and potential options for, payloads on NSTP-Sat. Figure 1 – Boeing GEO Spinner Bus

NSTP RFI-2 The following are notional NSTP-Sat schedule milestones; these timeframes are for planning purposes only and subject to change: • ATP – Payload selection and authority to proceed (ATP) • ATP + 4 months – Systems Requirements Review (SRR) • ATP + 11 months – Preliminary Design Review (PDR) • ATP + 19 months – Critical Design Review (CDR) • ATP + 31 months – Start Payload Integration (I&T) • ATP + 33 months –Start System/Environmental Tests • ATP + 34 months – Pre Ship Review • ATP + 35 months to ATP + 43 months - Margin • ATP + 44 months – NSTP-Sat delivery to launch site; start of Launch Vehicle integration • ATP + 50 months – NSTP-Sat planned launch date
Potential NSTP-Sat payload classes and accommodations include the following: • Hosted Payload (HP) – Remote sensing payload(s) manifested on the despun structure of the Boeing bus. A view of the despun structure is shown in Figure 2. • Technology Demonstration Payloads – Technology demonstration payloads that meet one of NASA’s 15 technology roadmaps. • EELV Secondary Payload Adapter (ESPA)-Class Spacecraft – The primary objective of this RFI is to collect information on potential hosted payloads or technology demonstrations, but there is potential for an ESPA ring under the spacecraft. Inputs for utilizing an ESPA or an ESPA-Grande class spacecraft are welcome. • Commercial collaboration – Industry is invited to suggest mutually beneficial Government-commercial partnerships that take advantage of the bus capabilities.
