Bid #12049A: The University of California, Berkeley, is seeking a landscape architect-led team to provide conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bid support, and construction administration services for a new accessible path of travel through the 1925 Courtyard. This Project is the highest priority of the University's Accessible Paths and Places Plan, addressing a significant accessibility gap. It involves creating an accessible north-south pathway from the new Bancroft Parking Garage to the Campus Park, replacing the existing landscape stair, negotiating a 9.5-foot elevation difference, and incorporating an accessible ramp with potential for integrated stairs, seating, grading adjustments, and landscape restoration. Design coordination is required with the Berkeley Clean Energy Campus (BCEC) project's underground distribution line.
