Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Generator Inspection and Maintenance Services

The City of Greater Sudbury is seeking quotations for generator inspection and maintenance services to support the Greater Sudbury Housing Corporation. The contract covers a five-year term from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2032, and involves providing preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair services for seven generators across various facilities, including sites on Belfry Avenue, Louis Street, Bruce Avenue, and Paris Street. Required services include weekly, monthly, semi-annual, annual, and five-year inspections, all of which must be performed in accordance with CAN/CSA-C282 standards, TSSA requirements for fuel-fired equipment, and manufacturer recommendations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced bidder who passes a five-stage evaluation process based on pass/fail criteria and reference verification. Eligible bidders must be non-US suppliers with at least five years of experience maintaining emergency power systems in multi-residential buildings. Mandatory requirements include maintaining a health and safety program compliant with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and carrying a minimum of five million dollars in Commercial General Liability insurance with the City of Greater Sudbury named as an additional insured. Invoices are payable net 30 days and must be submitted via email. All bids must be submitted electronically through the bids and tenders portal by November 12, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. local time.
