Export Develop Canada (EDC) requires access to diagnostic tools and key research to help systematically improve its IT department’s performance and modernize its technology, processes, and information management best practices in support of new business requirements and emerging technologies. Subscription services are required to access research related to information management, information technology and digital business and obtain expert advice from IM, IT and business professionals. Objectives of the Requirement: Ensure the success of key Digital and Technology Services (DTS) and EDC’s initiatives by having access to best practices, resources, research, tools, methodologies and advice on technology and business initiatives including but not limited to: Emerging technology & trends Cloud strategy & migration Application modernization AI and GenAI strategy and use cases Master data management and data operations Security and Risk Management Business continuity management Hiring and upskilling Stay current with important innovations by understanding emerging technologies and trends in the government and the private sector; Obtain professional and candid advice to assess and analyse current operational practices underway in EDC and DTS that will determine a way forward in achieving deliverables such as: reducing costs, operating more effectively, mitigating risks, and improving business outcomes; and Develop key strategic deliverables and directions (Tech Debt, Technology Strategy, Data Strategy, Security Strategy, IT capacity modelling, Cloud Strategy, IT Operational Optimization Strategy, and IT Service Catalog Modernization) which are necessary in supporting the branch’s mandate of enhanced service delivery, while supporting a modern, financially feasible, technology direction for EDC.
