The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division (NSWC Crane) is modifying its existing five-year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with Coherent Systems International Corporation for research and development related to electronics and communication equipment. This modification will address an 18-month requirement for testing and logistics support for equipment currently being developed and delivered by Coherent Systems. The Government intends to fulfill this need by issuing a task order under the existing contract, as Coherent Systems is the sole responsible source for this follow-on work, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, which permits non-competitive procurement under certain circumstances. No new solicitation will be issued since this action falls under the full and open competition exception due to the continuation of existing work with the same contractor. Interested parties may respond to the notice of intent, but the Government retains discretion over whether to pursue a competitive procurement. The contract pertains to services classified under NAICS Code 541710 and PSC Class AC60 and is managed by NSWC Crane in Indiana. The point of contact for this acquisition is Mr. J.D. Martin, who can be reached for further information. The contract is publicly accessible via Federal Business Opportunities and Navy Electronic Commerce Online platforms, ensuring transparency in the transaction.
