Research Interests of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research

The Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) has issued Broad Agency Announcement FA955026S0001 to solicit unclassified basic research proposals that enhance national warfighting and peacekeeping capabilities. The program focuses on three primary scientific branches: Engineering, Information Science, Mathematics and Collaboration; Physical Sciences; and Bio-Cognitive research. Key areas of interest include computational mathematics and brain-inspired systems. AFOSR anticipates funding approximately 200 million dollars, with typical awards ranging from 100,000 to 300,000 dollars per year for up to five years, with a maximum award ceiling of 10 million dollars.
