The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic) issued a Request for Information to gather details on commercial off-the-shelf tactical cross domain data guard devices intended for integration into an existing maritime information system. These devices are required to facilitate bidirectional exchange of XML and binary message sets across different security classification domains, operating with hardware, software, and methodologies currently approved by certification authorities such as UCDMO. Key performance specifications include support for 10/100 Ethernet, throughput of up to 10 Mbps, and typical latency below 10 milliseconds. Vendors must provide configurable rulesets along with associated training to ensure adaptability for future message modifications. The device must meet strict size, weight, and power limitations (10 x 5 x 2.5 inches; 2 pounds; 5 watts) and comply with rigorous environmental standards, including operation in non-pressurized spaces, temperature ranges from -20°C to 60°C, resistance to shocks, vibrations, humidity, and electromagnetic interference as per MIL-STD 461F. Additional requirements include compatibility with night vision goggles, and a detailed submission covering product description, IA maturity, sanitization capabilities, throughput, latency, programmability, cost details, and lead times. This information collection is solely for planning purposes and will not result in contract awards or compensation. Responses were due by April 25, 2016, and were to be submitted electronically to SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic’s designated technical point of contact.
