RFP 2025-1127 Linen and Laundry Services

Texas Tech University (TTU) is looking to establish multiple open-ended contracts for linen and garment laundry and rental services through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. TTU is catering to a large population of over 8,500 student residents and more than 15,000 guests during summer, which requires a substantial laundry service operation. The proposed services include commercial laundering of university-owned items such as bed linens and commencement regalia, with strict requirements to prevent damage or fading, and to replace damaged items at no cost to TTU. Furthermore, the rental service involves providing and maintaining uniforms, including industrial wear and flame-resistant clothing, ensuring each employee has access to at least eleven sets, accompanied by a weekly service cycle for pick-up and delivery. The contract's performance period is anticipated to start upon execution and last for four years, with the potential for four additional one-year renewals. Services will be primarily focused on TTU's main campus in Lubbock, Texas, though additional locations may be included if agreed upon. Contract execution includes a strict schedule for delivery operations, requiring services between 7:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. from Monday to Friday. The proposal’s flexibility allows TTU departments to request services as needed, without a guaranteed minimum quantity, ensuring that the university's diverse operational needs are met throughout the year.
