RFP 27016 Auditing Services - Schools and County

Stafford County Government and Stafford County Public Schools are seeking a qualified independent contractor to provide comprehensive auditing services for the County, Stafford Schools, the R-Board, and the EDA. The scope of work includes performing annual audits of separate financial statements in accordance with GAAP, GAAS, FASB, and GASB standards. Key deliverables include a detailed written report presented to the local governing body by December 31, a Cost Comparative Report due by the final week of November, and support for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports to be ready for printing by the first working day of December. The contract is awarded through competitive negotiation based on the most advantageous proposal, considering both price and evaluation factors, with the possibility of multiple awards. The contract term includes an initial period with the option for four additional one-year renewals running from April 1 through March 31. Selected contractors must maintain specific insurance coverages, including Workers Compensation with Employer Liability of up to 1 million dollars and Automobile Liability of 2 million dollars.
