The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is soliciting proposals for a multi-year, as-needed contract to perform concrete barrier wall and miscellaneous sidewalk repairs across Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties. The scope of work primarily involves repairing Type A and Type B barrier walls damaged by crash-related hits, which includes saw cutting, debris removal, and the installation of epoxy-coated reinforcement steel. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) and must utilize ArcGIS for logging repair locations, submitting work orders, and documenting completed activities. Repairs to barrier wall sections containing light standards or signing structures are explicitly excluded from the scope. The contract consists of an initial one-year term with four optional one-year renewals. Award will be granted to the responsive and responsible bidder who passes all evaluation criteria and offers the lowest price. Bidders must provide a comprehensive equipment list and pricing options for either the entire Metro Region or individual counties. Key requirements include compliance with the Michigan Prevailing Wage Act, the provision of performance and lien bonds totaling 100 percent of the estimated first-year price, and adherence to 2020 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction.
