The evaluation area is generally located along the City’s northeastern boundary and includes areas currently within the City’s sphere of influence. One of the primary purposes of the evaluation is to assess the long term feasibility and fiscal sustainability of extending municipal services to the area, including public safety services associated with the future construction and operation of Fire Station No. 6. The future station is currently planned at the former park and ride facility near Clinton Keith Road and Winchester Road and is intended to support long term fire and emergency response needs in the surrounding area.
The selected consultant will be expected to assist the City in evaluating the fiscal, operational, infrastructure, governance, and service delivery impacts associated with annexation, including coordination with affected agencies and stakeholders.
