The Grosse Pointe Public School System is soliciting sealed bids for the Boiler and Temperature Controls Replacement project at Parcells Middle School, located at 20600 Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. The scope of work includes the removal of existing boilers, domestic water heaters, storage tanks, piping, and steam condensate return units, as well as the removal of a pool boiler that will not be replaced. The contractor will install new boilers, water heaters, storage tanks, piping, steam traps, and pipe insulation, along with a comprehensive temperature control system featuring new wiring, control panels, and valves. Additionally, the project requires roofing work for new through-roof penetrations and associated flashings. Bids are due by 2:00 p.m. local time on October 27, 2026, and must be delivered to the Grosse Pointe Public School System Administration Building. Submissions must include a bid bond valued at five percent of the maximum bid amount, a sworn and notarized familial relationship disclosure, and a notarized Affidavit of Compliance regarding the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. This project is not funded by federal or state monies. Technical drawings and specifications are provided electronically by Ehresman Architects, and site visits can be coordinated through the Building Engineer, Mr. Chuck Rose.
