RFP - Operation of Rental Spaces at Ritchie Wharf Park 2027 - 2031

The City of Miramichi is seeking qualified proponents for the seasonal operation of two commercial rental spaces at Ritchie Wharf Park for a term of up to five years, spanning 2027 to 2031. The available spaces include Rental Area 3, a 440 square foot restaurant or take-out unit with a minimum seasonal bid of 1,000 dollars plus HST, and Rental Area 6, a 660 square foot restaurant and upper deck unit with a minimum seasonal bid of 1,500 dollars plus HST. The seasonal operating window runs annually from June 1st to Labour Day, with expected daily operating hours from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. during weekdays. Successful operators must provide all their own equipment and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Requirements include maintaining 3 million dollars in commercial general liability insurance and active coverage with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of New Brunswick. Proponents are responsible for all statutory deductions, taxes, and necessary federal, provincial, and municipal licenses. Proposals must be submitted via the electronic web portal by October 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., and must include a summary of qualifications, a description of proposed services, three third-party references, and the proposed annual rent for each year of the term. Awards will be based on the best value provided to the City and its residents.
