Rockford Public Schools is soliciting bids for the provision and installation of a modular, scalable, and digital Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system. The project scope includes the full installation, certification, and support of a system designed to maintain AC power to critical loads during mains power failure. The system must be solid-state with sealed power semiconductors and comply with Energy Star 2.0, FCC Rules and Regulations Part 15, and IBC 2021 seismic ratings. The period of performance for this FY27 E-rate project spans from April 1, 2027, through September 2028. Bidders must submit their responses in both a bound hard copy and on a USB drive, organized into four sections: Forms, Overview, Submittals, and Appendices. Required documentation includes a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid, a Michigan Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement, and an Iranian Economic Sanctions Form. Evaluation is based on technical compliance, a proven track record of at least three similar projects completed within the last two years, and manufacturer-qualified personnel. Awarded contractors must provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the bid amount. Invoicing is conducted monthly based on the percentage of work completed, with a 10% retainage held until final project closeout.
