Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of sidewalk, drainage, and resurfacing improvements along McDonald Road, PI # 0016244, located in the City of Douglas, Georgia until 2:00pm(local time) Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at which time bids will be opened and read. This project shall be financed with Transportation Investment Act (TIA) funding.
The meeting will be held at the City of Douglas, City Hall located at 302 South Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533. Proposals can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Wynetta Bolder, City Clerk at 302 South Madison Avenue, Douglas, Georgia 31533. Bids will be opened to the public. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The City of Douglas may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids. The Scope of Work Includes: Sidewalk, Drainage and Resurfacing Improvements along McDonald Road
All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Douglas in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Douglas. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.
The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Douglas as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.
All work on the project must be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days of the date of the Notice to Proceed.
