RFT - Supply & Delivery of Cutting Edges

The City of Timmins has issued solicitation number 1318 for the supply and delivery of 250 cutting edges to be delivered to 912 Pine St So. The requirement consists of 110 straight edges (Part# 5D9559), 20 ice edges (Part# 5D9559ICE), 60 straight edges (Part# T2233), and 60 ice edges (Part# T2233ICE), or functional equivalents. All units must be curved, double beveled, painted, and thoroughly heat treated to a 450 Brinell hardness. Delivery must be made via a van-type vehicle, as the City will provide unloading services using a forklift. Bids must be submitted electronically through the Bidding System by October 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm. The contract will be awarded to the compliant bid with the lowest total contract price, evaluated based on net present value and estimated quantities. The successful bidder must provide a minimum two-year warranty and maintain comprehensive insurance, including Commercial General Liability of at least 2 million dollars per occurrence and 5 million dollars in aggregate, as well as Automobile Liability and Pollution Insurance. Additionally, a valid WSIB Clearance Certificate and a written occupational health and safety policy are required. Payments will be processed via Electronic Funds Transfer to a Canadian chartered bank.
