Solicitation FA3047-15-T-0029 is a request for quotation issued by the Department of Defense for the procurement of brand name AutoCrib RoboCrib automatic tool dispensing machines and associated accessories for the 12 FTW/MX at Joint Base San Antonio Randolph, Texas. This acquisition is a 100 percent small business set-aside under NAICS code 333318. The requirement specifically includes three RoboCrib VX500 units, one RoboCrib VX1000 unit, configurable bin stacks, a client server PC license, various sizes of parts cups, management stations, and ScaleMate load cells. The contract also covers a five year new equipment warranty and necessary setup, installation, and training. The brand name requirement is justified by the need for stand-alone operation, soft-dispense features to prevent part damage, and the ability to dispense small parts by weight, capabilities that other vendors failed to meet. Delivery is required within 45 days of contract award on a FOB Destination basis, meaning shipping costs must be included in the item pricing. Quotes were due by September 8, 2015, and the award is based on technical and price considerations in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6 and applicable DFARS and AFFARS provisions.
