Amendment 0001
The purpose of this amendment is as follows:
1. Provide Responses to questions received.
2. Provide a revised Statement of Work.
3. Extend the deadline for Quotes to July 9, 2026, 1:00 PM Hawaii time.

1. QUESTION AND RESPONSE
The following questions and or clarifications requests were received from interested parties. All questions and clarifications have been consolidated. Questions are denoted by “Q” and the response is denoted by “R.”

Q1: There are one or two contradictions in the documents regarding the door specifications. Can you please clarify whether the door should be aluminum or stainless steel? Is this an insulated door?
• In Section 6.1 (Products), the specification states that the door material must be "Aluminum in accordance with ASTM B-209" with an aluminum curtain and bottom bar. However, a few lines down in the same section, it states "Door shall have a galvanized finish".
• Why it conflicts: Galvanization is a zinc-coating process applied strictly to steel to prevent rusting. Aluminum does not get galvanized; instead, it is typically left mill-finished, anodized, or powder-coated (which is also mentioned for the endlocks and hood).
• Additionally, the specifications call for a 1/2 HP motor but later mention that the drive sprocket must match "5 HP torque requirements."

R1: The Statement of Work has been revised for clarification. This is not an insulated door. It should be 1/2 HP motor.

2. REVISION TO STATEMENT OF WORK
• Section 6.1: “Door material” was replaced by “Door Curtain material” and deletion of “Door shall have a galvanized finish”.
• Section 6.2: “..torque to match the 5 HP torque requirements” was replaced by “torque to manufacturer’s specifications”.

3. The Due Date for Quotes has been extended to 1 PM HT, 7/09/26.

Vendors shall acknowledge receipt of this amendment and all previously issued amendments by submitting signed copies with their quotation. Failure to acknowledge all amendments may render a quotation ineligible for award.

All other terms, conditions, requirements, and provisions of Solicitation 1333MH26Q0004 remain unchanged.
