ROOF REPLACEMENT FOR C BUILDING

Western Piedmont Community College has issued solicitation 2026-Roof-C for the full replacement of the roof on C Building in Morganton, North Carolina. The project is necessary because the building, constructed in 1964, has reached the end of its roof's useful life. The scope of work includes the removal of the current roof, inspection of the existing membrane, and the installation of a replacement roof. The selected vendor must ensure the roof is secured for weather at the end of each workday, manage daily disposal of all materials and trash, and obtain all necessary permits. Work must be performed according to manufacturer recommendations and industry standards, with a required start date within 10 business days of the effective date and an anticipated completion by December 31, 2026. Proposals are due by October 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM ET. The college will utilize a one-step evaluation process, and applicants must be North Carolina registered vendors in good standing with a valid Electronic Vendor Portal number. Required submissions include a signed proposal and a standard quote on vendor letterhead. Vendors must certify compliance with North Carolina General Statutes regarding collusion, securities violations, and eligibility, as well as adhere to E-Verify requirements for employers with more than 25 employees. Payment is contingent upon a successful inspection and acceptance of the work by the designated contract manager.
