Runway 25 Obstruction Removal (Approx. 3.5 Acres)

The Town of Provincetown Department of Public Works and the Provincetown Municipal Airport Commission have issued an Invitation for Bids for the removal of tree obstructions within the protected airspace approach to Runway 25 at the Provincetown Municipal Airport. The project covers approximately 3.5 acres and requires the selective cutting and removal of obstructing trees both inside and outside the airport perimeter fence. Key deliverables include the installation of erosion controls, the implementation of a Construction Safety and Phasing Plan, and the final verification of a clear approach, all performed in accordance with applicable permits and project specifications. Bids must be submitted in hard copy via sealed envelope to the Office of the Town Manager by 2:00 P.M. on October 1, 2026. Mandatory submission requirements include a bid bond of at least 5% of the bid price, SDO Certification for DBEs, and completed Federal, State, and local DBE/MBE/WBE documentation including Letters of Intent. Bidders must also provide signed assurance and certification statements regarding non-discrimination and non-segregation to comply with FAA, MassDOT, and local laws. While the contract is generally awarded to the lowest bidder, the Commission reserves the right to select another bidder if it is in the best interest of the Town.
