The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is soliciting bids for firebreak maintenance and hazard tree removal at Nickerson State Park for fiscal year 2027. The scope of work is divided into two primary tasks: the maintenance of the firebreak along Ober Road through tree removal, mulching, and mowing, and the mitigation of hazard trees throughout the park's campgrounds, internal roads, and bike paths. All work must comply with OSD Statewide Contract FAC 120, and the contractor is required to ensure that tree stumps protrude no more than two inches from the ground. Qualified bidders must provide a completed Bidder Response Form, three relevant references, and certified insurance policies for all subcontractors. Evaluation is based on the best value to the Commonwealth, considering price, equipment, safety programs, and the qualifications of onsite staff. Key requirements include a superintendent with a valid Massachusetts Certified Arborist or International Society of Arboriculture certification and machine operators holding a current Massachusetts Timber Harvester License. All equipment must meet ANSI specifications and current safety inspections. The project is subject to Department of Labor Standards Prevailing Wage Rates. Y1JZ--926CM3010 Cemetery Expansion and FCA Improvements Project Washington Crossing National Cemetery
Solicitation # 36C78627Q0030
The Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration is conducting market research to identify capable Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business prime contractors for a design-bid-build construction project at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pennsylvania. This effort is not a formal solicitation but a sources-sought notice to inform acquisition planning. The project involves extensive civil infrastructure work, including excavation, grading, stormwater and utility systems, roads, and paving, as well as the construction of columbaria with approximately 4,080 niches. A significant component of the work includes the installation of roughly 8,500 Government-furnished pre-placed crypt units. Additionally, the project encompasses repairs and renovations to the maintenance building and Public Information Center. The estimated magnitude of construction is between 10 million and 20 million dollars, with an anticipated period of performance of 12 to 18 months following the notice to proceed. The government is considering a firm-fixed-price contract under NAICS code 237990, specifically as a competitive SDVOSB set-aside. Because the work will take place at an active national cemetery, the contractor must be able to manage simultaneous civil and building work while ensuring the safety and continuity of visitors and interment services. Interested firms are requested to submit a capability statement by November 9, 2026, detailing their past performance, bonding capacity, and experience with Government-furnished precast products, but they are explicitly instructed not to submit price proposals.
