The American Embassy in Australia requires the operation and management of guard services in order to prevent unauthorized access, protect life, maintain order, deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against all U.S. assets, and prevent damage to Government property. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required in the contract. The contract will cover the Embassy in Canberra and consulates in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The estimated number of hours required in Canberra are Guard 43,536, Guard/Driver 11,648, Senior guard 8,736, Senior Guard/DO Specialist 8,736 and Supervisor 2,080; in Sydney Guard 6,205 and Senior Guard/DO Specialist 2,370; in Melbourne Guard 2,600 and Senior guard/DO specialist 2,600; in Perth Guard 4,680. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. Any resultant contract will contain a base period not to exceed 12 months and four (4) 12-month optional periods of performance.
