The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, GA, VISN 7 contemplates negotiation of sole source procurement with Albritton Company, 123 E. Main Street, Hookerton, NC 28538-0160 to provide restoration of restroom tile and grout to the Dorn VA and all affiliated outpatient clinics in Columbia, SC. The Albritton Company is the exclusive SaniGLAZE franchise for the state of South Carolina market area in accordance with the exclusive agreement from SaniGLAZE. SaniGLAZE is a proprietary process that requires proprietary products and specialized training that can only be provided by a SaniGLAZE dealer. The period of performance for this procurement will be 15 June 2009 through 14 June 2010 with four (4) option years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 444190 with a size standard of $7 million. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A)and(B), only one responsible source. This Notice of Intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation documents will be issued. Firms that believe they can meet the VA's requirements must submit proof to the Contracting Officer no later within three (3) calendar days from the date of publication of this synopsis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
