SAC 99/51/160 Five Pump Plant Project

The SAC 99/51/160 Five Pump Plant Project, solicitation number 03-0J450, is a California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) initiative to replace five aging pump plants located in Sacramento County along SR 99, SR 51, and SR 160. These facilities, originally constructed between the 1940s and 1960s, have exceeded their 50-year design life and require replacement to ensure reliable operation, accommodate projected flows, and minimize flooding risks. The project scope includes the replacement of the pump plants at 12th Avenue NB Off-Ramp, 5th Avenue Over Crossing, C Street, Elvas Underpass, and Swanston UP.
