 Synopsis: This notice is published in accordance with FAR 10.002 and 15.201(e)
and is a Request for Information (RFI) only in support of market research.


 The Government’s intent is to identify qualified companies capable of developing
and manufacturing Safety and Arming Devices for the HAWK Missile System, NSN
1337-01-083-0029, APN 9322163, NAICS code 332993.  The requirement to build to  MIL-S-50200 Configuration drawing R9235300 (M100 Fuze) Revision M and $5423441 Revision A (S&A Interface Module), and package IAW R9322163 Revision H.


Performance of this effort requires the contractor have comprehensive knowledge of the HAWK system, plus instant access to both current documentation and future changes.  Manufacturing of the HAWK Safety and Armying Device requires a facility capable of handling and processing CLASS V explosives and technical expertise in chemistry and explosives.  This requirement is for the purchase of the new Safety and Arming Devices unique to the HAWK Missile Systems that are already in the field.


 Performance of this effort requires the contractor to have a complete and
comprehensive knowledge of the HAWK system, plus instant access to both current
documentation and future changes. Manufacturing of the HAWK Safety and Arming
Device requires a facility capable of handling and processing CLASS V explosives and
technical expertise in chemistry and explosives. This requirement is for the purchase of
new Safety and Arming Devices unique to the HAWK Missile Systems that are already
in the field.


 Any interested parties must comply with the above.


 All information received will be used only for planning purposes. It shall not be
considered as an Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Request for
Proposal (RFP), or as an obligation on the part of the Government to respond, or to
acquire any products or services.



 Documents marked CUI should not be posted to SAM.GOV, a note should be
placed in the notification that documents marked CUI have to be requested from the
contractual point of contact.

SUBJECT: Request to Issue Sources Sought for Safety and Arming Devices

 Any response to this synopsis will be treated as information only. No
entitlement to payment of direct costs or charges by the Government will arise
as a result of contractor submission of responses to this synopsis to the
Government for use of such information. The information provided may be used
by the Army in developing its acquisition strategy and in its Statement of
Work/Statement of Objectives or Performance Specifications. Not responding to
this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if issued. If the
Government issues a solicitation, it will be synopsized on the SAM.GOV
website. It is the responsibility of any potential offeror to monitor SAM.GOV for
additional information pertaining to this requirement
