Santa Rosa High School Parking Lot Improvement Project

The Santa Rosa High School Parking Lot Improvement Project, managed by Santa Rosa City Schools, involves comprehensive upgrades to the parking facilities located at 1235 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa, California. The scope of work includes repaving the existing lot to expand capacity to 15 regular spaces, three future EV charging spaces, and two accessible van spaces, as well as improving the driveway to extend to the large parking lot off Ridgeway Avenue. Additional infrastructure improvements include the installation of 12-foot light poles, the addition of flashing at adjacent buildings, and the renovation of a restroom within the Media Center building. The project is scheduled for construction from September 25, 2025, through March 30, 2026. Environmental compliance is a key component, as the project is classified under a CEQA Class 1 Exemption. This includes the removal of one valley oak and one coast live oak, with replacement trees to be planted. To protect local wildlife and existing flora, tree removal must occur after the nesting season ends on September 1, and a tree protection plan will be implemented for six remaining mature oak trees.
